Warrior Companion — Nonprofit One-Pager
Who we are
Warrior Companion is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides pet health care assistance for the service animals of disabled veterans and first responders.
The need
For many disabled veterans and first responders, a service animal is not a luxury—it’s a lifeline. But the cost of veterinary care can be overwhelming, especially for families living on disability or fixed income. When care is delayed, the health of the animal—and the stability the animal provides—can be put at risk.
Our mission
To keep service animals healthy and protected by providing pet health care assistance, so the veterans and first responders who rely on them can focus on healing, stability, and daily life.
What we do
- Provide pet health care assistance for qualifying service animals
- Help offset routine and unexpected veterinary expenses
- Reduce financial stress for disabled veterans and first responders
- Share stories that build awareness and strengthen community support

Why it matters
A service animal supports independence, reduces anxiety, and helps its handler navigate everyday life. Protecting that animal’s health protects the bond—and the support system—at the center of recovery.
